Bread Lounge in Downtown LA

If you’re like me and you’re not the biggest fan of breakfast, then put down the fiber flakes and try something different this morning. Bread Lounge in the Arts District of Downtown LA has breakfast options that will make you never want to eat cereal again. For a quick bite to have when on the go, I grabbed the Ham and Cheese Croissant ($3.50), Almond Danish ($3.50), and Almond Milk ($2.75). Yes, altogether it was a tad pricey, but it was well worth it. The bread from Bread Lounge is all natural so the croissant and Danish were so soft and fluffy with each bite. The buttered exterior of the croissant is sprinkled with multigrain that make you feel like you’re an adult with a healthy lifestyle—even if you’re not. The ham had a slight honey taste and the cheese was simply delicious. As a whole the croissant was anything but boring. Now, don’t let the powdered sugar on the Danish fool you, it didn’t feel as if it was packed with calories or sugar. Instead, it was simple and enjoyable. Finally, I’ve been on an almond milk groove for a bit so this milk was a nice choice for me. It was smooth and gentle without the overbearing kick of almond with each sip. Best of all, the entire meal wasn’t heavy. It was filling, light, and tasted better than the stuff I pull out of the back of the kitchen cupboard.
Now the big question is: would it be overkill if I go back for lunch?
