dine L.A.’s Restaurant Week ends this Sunday, February 1st which means there’s still time for you to eat as much as your belt can hold. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, some of the best eateries in LA still have their dine L.A. menus available. While I checked out BOA in Santa Monica at the start of the week, I wanted to visit another restaurant that I’ve heard about, but never tried. After looking through the menus online, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills. It was an easy decision because the Restaurant Week menu offers a massive 3-course meal for $50! Sounds good to us!
When you take a look at the menu, it feels like your reading a book out of the bible: there’s so much in front of you but it’s all-good! For my meal I ordered the Spinning Salad (without beets), California Cut of Roasted Prime Ribs of Beef and Broiled Nova Scotia Lobster Tail and the Crème Brulee (3 for $50). My boyfriend ordered the same meal except he got the Old Fashioned Chocolate Pudding for dessert. But wait, that’s not all! It came with sides of whipped cream horseradish mashed potatoes, split peas, and Yorkshire pudding (bread). It was so much beautiful food. I never thought I would call food beautiful, but it truly was. The prime rib was enormous, the potatoes and gravy overflowed, and there were so many peas it looked like a tiny green vegetable army on my plate. My favorite part was the lobster tail. It was soft, bouncy, succulent, and the fresh lemon plus butter enhanced the flavor beyond belief. It was delicious!
The entire meal was remarkable considering the price compared to the portions. It was so much food! It was close to impossible for me to finish everything. I wasn’t alone since there were so many people walking out with Lawry’s bags full of food. My boyfriend on the other hand, easily cleaned his plate. Maybe one day I’ll be on his level. A girl can dream, right?
