Bristol Farms Has Your Thanksgiving Dinner Covered
The holidays are right around the corner and I couldn’t imagine a year without them.
Think about it: what if the year had all the holidays except the ones with great food. No Valentine’s Day dinner with that special someone and forget about the 4th of July barbecues, but Groundhogs Day would still be there. Whoop-tee-doo. It would be a year where Thanksgiving doesn’t exist. It would be a year where people don’t argue over whether stuffing is better than dressing, where your aunt doesn’t take obnoxious pride in her macaroni and cheese, and where a turkey doesn’t take center stage on your table like it’s the family photo on a mantle. It just wouldn’t be right. Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about that.
What makes me excited about Thanksgiving being just weeks away is the guarantee of delicious food. While my family could start the day opening an oven and dividing the responsibility of the sides between younger generations, we went a different route. This year, Bristol Farms did all of the cooking for us and it was actually a big relief. For years, we thought the beauty in Thanksgiving was making the food—and it is. But to have a day where we didn’t make a single thing was just as beautiful. We didn’t have to get to the store early to wander down each aisle for ingredients and we didn’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to get it all ready. It’s no surprise that having Thanksgiving catered by Bristol Farms was extremely freeing.
For our (early) dinner, we had a Medium Fully Cooked Whole Free-Range Turkey ($6.49/lb 10-13 lbs) and two servings of their Traditional Stuffing ($8.99/lb), Candied Yams ($8.99/lb), Brussel Sprouts Au Gratin ($10.99), and Roasted Butternut Squash with Cranberries ($9.69/lb). If there’s any reservation about having a Thanksgiving dinner catered, the concern would be: is it as good as what my family makes? The answer is no, but yes. I say no because if you have an out-of-this-world family dinner, then there’s no one who can make dinner the way your family makes it. Even when grandma passes, no one else in your family can make it as good as she does and that’s a fact. No one in my family makes something as simple as cranberry sauce the way my Aunt Ynez does and as much as my mom tries her best, she can’t make soup the way my Aunt Ruby does.
However, is a dinner from Bristol Farms a delicious one that is worthwhile even if it’s not as great as any of my aunts? Absolutely. It’s a delicious dinner that is seasoned, prepared, and cooked perfectly. It’s the type of dinner that makes you feel happy you went with it and you don’t leave your table feeling as if you missed out on anything. I loved the dishes I had and think it would be a great full dinner or in conjunction with whatever you would like to add to it.
When you’re ready to order, Bristol Farms makes the process extremely easy. Visit their Thanksgiving page and follow the three steps on the left side of the page. Pick the store closest to you (Step 1), select the items you’d like to have for dinner (Step 2), and then complete your order (Step 3). It’s seriously so easy. The only real work you have to do is get dressed, set the table, get the family together, make sure no one brings up politics, make sure no one asks why you’re still single, and then clean up. Bristol Farms can you do that too? No? Maybe that’s asking for the impossible.
Stick with the steps that Bristol Farms can do and then leave the rest to faith and good luck.
