The Emmy’s are coming.
It’s the award show for the actors and actresses who made us laugh and cry; the narrators who voices were so captivating we felt like we were sinking into the stories they told; and the people behind the camera who made the shows we obsess over look ways that even our imagination couldn’t create. Yes, the Emmy’s are coming for those people this Sunday September 17 and the rest of us get to watch.
Actually, that’s only partially true.
If you’re looking to be part of the show in more ways than watching it alone, there is a way to feel like you’re there. Sure you can dress up, make your own award, and give an acceptance speech in the mirror, but maybe you don’t do that. Instead, feel like you’re one of the nominees or presenters by indulging in the excitement that comes from the event’s amazing partners. Drop your makeshift Emmy and float through the list brands who will be gifting and entertaining celebrities with everything from cars to sweetners to wine. The best part of this list, you can get some of the products right now just in time for the show tomorrow.
AUTOMOTIVE
As the official automotive sponsor and vehicle provider of the event for the seventh consecutive year, vehicles by the German automotive manufacturer will be on display throughout the venue. Having over 20 sedans, SUVs, coupes, and sport luxury vehicles, Audi has a perfect roster of cars to chose from to have at the Emmy’s. From the sharp design seen across the exterior to the exquisite detail composing the interior, it is understood why Audi has such a strong partnership with the award ceremony. Placed at the event’s entry hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, one of the first accents to the décor is a white Audi seated next to a 12ft tall Emmy award. Not to be seen stationary alone, both nominees and presenters will be transported to the ceremonies in the V10 engine R8 Spyder (starting at $177,100), the 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds TT RS (starting at $64,900), and the Eight-speed Tiptronic® automatic transmission SQ5 (starting at $54,300).
CHOCOLATE
Guests looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can look directly to the Phillip Ashley™ table. Owned and created by designer chocolatier Phillip Ashley, the four-year old Memphis based company creates hand crafted, small batch, designer chocolates for (Signature 6-piece $24, Signature 12-piece $48). Creating a profound relationship between customized and exclusive chocolates for each client, Ashley has designed a brand so unique it has caught the eye of major clients including FedEx, Verizon, Mary Kay, and most recently the Emmy’s. During the event, Ashley will have 10 assorted flavors ready to be grabbed. Flavors for the evening will include Wild Strawberry Vanilla Bean, Amber Maple Pecan Praline, and Margarita with aged tequila, yuzu reduction, Kaffir lime salt.
COCKTAILS
Cars and chocolate aside, one of the next points of excitement is the cocktail setup executed by The Hilhaven Lodge & Diageo Luxury Brands. Established in 1927 in Beverly Hills, The Hilhaven Lodge produces a unique blend by combining three whiskeys: aged Bourbon, Rye, and Tennessee whiskey each from three distinct decades. For the Emmy’s, The Hilhaven Lodge designed three cocktails for guests to sample and then discover a favorite. The signature drink of the event is The Hilhaven Lodge Fireside which combines absinthe with spiced pear liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a ginger beer. The Hilhaven Lodge Old Fashioned takes demerara syrup and Angostura. The Ciroc French 75 (of Diageo Brands) blends Ciroc Vodka with champagne, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
FLOWERS
Celebrity florist company, LA Premier owned by Kevin Lee serves as the vendor providing all the floral arrangements adorning the tables. As a partner for the event since 2008, LA Premier has continued to add to the overall aesthetic of the event through beautiful bouquets. The centerpieces of pale white calla lilies and roses with what seems to be the most vibrant green stems will decorate the tables. Available online, similar roses range from $70 to $950 with similar lilies ranging from $75 to $300 each in a variety of designs and colors. At the conclusion of the event, the flowers will be repurposed as mulch to reinforce the event’s commitment to sustainability.
SPARKLING WINE
To ring in the excitement of being nominated and to celebrate the glory of even winning an award, guests can grab a glass of Ferrari Trento champagne. For the third year partnering with the Emmys, Ferrari Trento will hand out the classic Ferrari Brut Trentodoc. Making the night one of pure elation, guests (and you at home) can toast with a selection sparklers including Ferrari Perlé, Perlé Rosé, and Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore.
For those looking for drinking options other than water and liquor, SPLENDA® Naturals will have a coffee station with easy access. Splenda, which launched in 1992, has a product line including Splenda Naturals which is the no calorie sweetner made with Stevia extract. Guests will be served Splenda recipes of cold brew coffee, Americanos, and lattes with white packets of Splenda to add an extra touch of sweetness. WATER
With all excitement wrapped around cocktail and wine drinking, guests will need to stay hydrated. As the water
partner for the event, FIJI® Water intends to do just that. Founded in 1996, FIJI Water is the number one imported bottle water in America. The natural Artesian bottled water has held a partnership with the Emmy’s since 2013 and will 500ml bottles of water with affixed straws passed throughout the evening to keep nominees and presenters thriving until the doors close.
WINE
Along with the cocktails and sparkling wine, the official wine partner of the evening is none other than Sterling Vineyards. Making an appearance at the Emmy’s for a second consecutive year, Sterling Vineyards will have three distinct wines ready for nominees and presenters of the event. Bottles include a 2016 Sterling Vineyards Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (price unavailable), 2015 Napa Valley Chardonnay ($22), and 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($32). To make the evening more exciting, winners in each category will be gifted with a personalized bottle of the vineyard’s 2014 Iridium Cabernet Sauvignon.
